Sun Clock – LED Sculpture

I created this sun-themed LED clock for my mother’s birthday. She’s always hung a variety of sun-themed wall hangings, and I thought this would fit well.

Every 13 hours it turns on Wi-Fi and auto-syncs to internet time servers. When it’s at home, I have a local time server so it never needs an internet connection. If it cannot sync, it has an RTC built in which is supposed to be accurate for ~4 months. It auto-corrects for Daylight Savings Time.
